百年孤寂(One Hundred Years of Solitude) By Gabriel García Márquez

最近把百年孤寂看完了,對於這一本書,我只有一句話: 不虧是諾貝爾得獎作品!
我並不是很有文學素養的人,所以一開始決定要看這一本書,我有點懷疑我會看得懂這本被稱為魔幻寫實文學的經典小說,我根本不懂什麼是魔幻寫實,而且書名聽起來就很悶,結果出乎我意料的好看,我不驚訝大部分看過的人都是一致的好評,整本書看完我還會想要再看一次,最近讓我有這種感覺的書就只有Stieg Larsson的千禧年三部曲
這本書並不是只有一個故事,而是關於一個家庭的興起和衰落,所以整本書是由許多個關於其中每個家庭成員在100年之間的小故事組成,你可以看到人生的各個樣貌,有一生為家庭付出的母親、由愛引發的悲劇或是夜夜笙歌的生活等等,作者加入了許多像是神話般的情節,很誇張的情節,不過就因為如此而十分引人入勝。書的背面上引用William Kennedy在New York Times Book Review中所寫到: "Mr. García Márquez has done nothing less than to create in the reader a sense of all that is profound, meaningful, and meaningless in life" 我認為這句話一句道盡整本書給我的感覺。
故事的背景反映了拉丁美洲的歷史,其實我不了解歷史,有些人說需要先了解這些歷史淵源才有辦法讀這本書,我認為不太需要,我認為如果就享受閱讀作者敘述整個故事的手法而言,有沒有了解這些背景並不重要,如果想要進一步研究更深一層的意義,就需要惡補一下歷史了!
我認為這本書很值得再讀一次的另一個原因是其中有許多很值得深思的句子,我現在還算年輕,不知道之後再看一次,對當中的一些情節或對話會不會有不同的想法。
